It is imperative for a healthy development of the child feel important and worthy. Healthy self-esteem is a child’s armor against the challenges of the world. Children who feel good about themselves seem to have an easier time managing conflicts and resisting negative peer pressure. They tend to smile more easily and enjoy life. These children are generally optimistic and realistic. It’s also been shown that children who feel important are well rounded, respectful, and excel in academics, activities and hobbies and develop healthy relationships with their peers. In contrast, for children who do not feel loved and important have low self-esteem, and the challenges can become major sources of anxiety and frustration. Children who think poorly of themselves are struggling to find the solution of problems, and may become passive, withdrawn or depressed.

You are the greatest influence on your child feel important, valued and dignified. Do not forget to praise your child for a job well done, and also to make a valiant effort. Praise the good traits of course they have, and help them find ways to learn from their mistakes and failures. Be honest and sincere in your praise. Help them to realize that you also suffer from self doubt and may make mistakes from time to time, but you know that you are important, valued and loved. When you maintain your own self-esteem and importance, your child will learn to do the same thing, so be sure to lead by example and avoid self-depreciating itself or engage in activities that are lower your own value and significance.

Your child may be inaccurate or irrational beliefs about themselves, their capacities or traits. Focus on the positive points about your child and encourage your child to set realistic goals and standards for themselves. The help identify traits or skills they would like to improve and to help them develop a game plan for achieving that goal. Encourage your child to engage in cooperative activities that promote teamwork and accomplishment. Thanks to these measures and other positive, affirming activities, make sure your child is to develop a strong sense of self importance, value and the value which is acting in their adult life.
