Is it safe for a White American family of four to travel to Tajikistan?

I just wanted to know whether it is safe or not to go to Tajikistan. If not, how about Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan or Azerbaijan? We aren’t Christian, we are Unitarian does that have any effect?

What kind of adapter/converter should i take to Cairo that is safe for a laptop?

I am going to Cairo, Egypt and I need to bring phone charger, camera charger, laptop, hairdryer and various other electronics. Is their a converter/adapter that will work with all of my electronics and is safe from burnouts? And if so how should I use it with a 100-240V laptop? Any other info on adapters/converters [...]
